I was under medication when I made the decision to burn the tapes.

The Big Gay Musical

It is a musical, so we're already half way there. The actors/dancers/singers topped the book as it is in most musicals. Purposefully derivative, the tribute and send up of the musical is especially funny.  At first I was a bit ticked with the HIV+ status equals outcast theme, but then came to recognize it as real. Still bothers me though that they did not follow it to a more enlightened resolution.  It was the hair in the soup that keeps me from rating this a solid 4 and instead choosing to rate it as 3.5  TMG's old friend Liz McCartney played Patty May and she blew the roof off with her featured song, so that was enjoyable too.
