These Things Happen

Richard Kramer

This book was delightful. Young Wesley is living with his father and Dad's lover for the first time. His best friend has questions about being Gay, so Wesley asks his Dads. This compassionate and wise dialogue between a young man and his family, his peers and his city, NYC. is funny and touching.

Richard Kramer has proven that he can get to the heart of being human through his work on television. These Things Happen is his first novel and again reveals Kramer's astute touch on the pulse of humanity. The fact that this piece is also a love song to New York added to my pleasure.
