First woman says "What is the point of Mulholland Drive?" Second woman replies,"Lesbians should make their own films." -

Ventura Pons

Ventura Pons is alive and well and actively making films, although that is hard to verify if you live in the US.

Amor Idiota (2004) was the last widely released film in the states. Meanwhile his list of films is tantalizing. Not all of them, I think I will skip Life Abysmal (2006) because I hate gambling. That said I would love to see Barcelona (2007) that seems to be closer in style to Caresses (1997) than to Food of Love (2001). I have the same attraction to Strangers (2008). Pons weaves together lives with credible fate and allegorical punch, a master at helping us look through the lens at life. Access to his brilliance should be available in the US.

We need to distribute his films in the U.S.!
